With ideas like this, perhaps it is not a good idea to spend a holiday taking a boat trip up the River Thames. But this is what the three friends -and Montmorency the dog- decide to do. Título : Three Men in a Boat : (To Say Nothing of the Dog) Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Jerome Klapka Jerome, Autor ; George Horsley, Adaptador Mención de edición: 1ª Editorial: London [United Kingdom] : Longman Group Limited Fecha de publicación: 1979 Colección: Longman Simplified English Series Número de páginas: 104 p Il.: il. b/n. Dimensiones: 18 cm ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-0-582-52635-8 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Clasificación: :Inglés:Literatura:Lecturas Adaptadas:Sin Audio:B1 Etiquetas: comedia aventuras humor adaptadas bote barca embarcación B1+ 2000 Resumen:
I was very cold when I got back into the boat, and, in my hurry to get my shirt on, I let it slip by accident into the water. It made me wild, especially as George burst out laughing. I couldn't see anything to laugh at, and I told George so, and he only laughed even louder. I never saw a man laugh so much. I quite lost my temper with him at last, and I pointed out to him what a brainless fool he was, but he still roared. And then, just as I was recovering the shirt, I noticed that it wasn't my shirt after all but George's, which I had mistaken for mine. The humour of the situation now struck me for the first time, and I began to laugh. The more I looked from George's wet shirt to George, roaring with laughter, the more I was amused, and I laughed so much that I had to let the shirt fall back into the water again.
