Born is San Francisco in 1876, Jack London left his poor home without formal education at an early age. During his short life of forty years, he wandered through the United States, doing odd jobs, and experiencing life among pirates, seal hunters, prospectors, and other adventurers. This is the story of an innocent gentleman who finds himself, through unfortunate circumstances, aboard the ship of the brutal and dictatorial captain, Wolf Larsen. It paints a vivid picture of unbelievable cruelty, created by a cynical and amoral captain-philosopher, on a voyage on the high seas.
