Resumen:	This collection is similar to the author's existing Penguin book of very short stories but at a more elementary language level. The simplification of the language, which is achieved by the use of a controlled vocabulary, restricted structures, a reduction in density, a use of shorter sentences and a greater use of dialogue to move the story along, is not accompanied by a reduction in the adult quality of the themes and of their treatment.
